Aftermarket Parts for a Siemens SGT-400 Oil-and-Gas Package

Smaller frame, same discipline

SGT-400 packages show up on oil and gas sites next to SGT-600 fleets. Stores mix the bins. The first job is to un-mix them. The machine is a compact industrial frame, not a smaller sticker on an SGT-600. Below are two plant-style cases — mixed bins, and a pipeline package hours from the store — then how far site repair helps, then a filled request. Euroturbine quotes the plate on that package.

Write the package serial on the request. These machines often sit far from a heavy-duty power-plant store. An emergency shortage is then a helicopter-and-crate problem, not a van from the next unit. Freeze the bill of materials at the first vibration or temperature excursion, not at the shutdown announcement. Nickel superalloys still apply in spirit. The exact grade follows the row. Write what the last shop recorded, not a family nickname.

Compact industrial gas-turbine hot-gas-path parts
Package serial and original-equipment numbers keep a compact industrial frame from borrowing its neighbour’s crate.

Case 1 — The store mixed SGT-400 with SGT-600

The two frames sit on similar oil-and-gas packages. The part numbers do not travel. A store that bins both under Siemens industrial will send the wrong root. If the plate says SGT-400, every line on the request says SGT-400. If a mechanic says the blade looks like the 600, ask for the plate photograph before anyone opens the 600 crate. Euroturbine will not reuse an SGT-600 number to make the quote look complete.

An SGT-400 station on a gas line shares a fence with an SGT-600 package. The store sends a crate labelled Siemens industrial. The fir-tree is a 600 root. Euroturbine writes SGT-400 only, from the package serial and the plate, and leaves the 600 crate unopened as a quote line.

Case 2 — Pipeline package, hours from the heavy-duty store

A combined-cycle site often has a central store and a neighbour unit. An SGT-400 package may sit on a pipeline or a process block hours from that store. Air freight shortens the road if the part exists. It does not create a casting. That is why the bill of materials should freeze when the first excursion appears. Mechanical-drive and generator packages both exist on this frame. Duty changes hours. It does not change the need for dimensional inspection — CMM in every shop.

The pipeline SGT-400 shows a temperature spread on Monday. Waiting until the shutdown announcement on Friday is how the foundry slot is already gone. Euroturbine wants the package serial, the OEM lines, and photographs that same week. If a named serial already exists in the shop, AOG — the unit already down, or going down on a fixed date — can move that serial. It cannot invent a whole cooled row in ten days.

Result — How far site repair helps

Limited blending of a small nick can stay on the package if the workscope says so. NDT first, then blend, then release. Coat and cast stay on the shop route. A pipeline station is not a foundry. Do not wait for the shutdown announcement to send the numbers. The same week a temperature spread or a vibration step appears is the week the list should leave the station. Euroturbine will quote that frame only.

The pipeline SGT-400 has a small nick on a stator, remaining wall enough, no crack into the platform. Euroturbine writes blend on the package. A first-stage cooled blade with a blocked hole on the same package is a shop crate — airflow and coating are not field work.

What a complete SGT-400 request looks like

SGT-400 on every line — not Siemens industrial blade. Package serial so freight and identification stay attached to the same machine. Duty: mechanical drive or generator. Per line: stage, rotating or stationary, OEM number, quantity, hours, new-make or repair. Combustion hardware on its own lines. Fluorescent penetrant on the certificate. Airflow on cooled rows. Photographs of the plate, the root, both sides of the airfoil. If you have a scrap sample, send it. Euroturbine will not reuse an SGT-600 number to make the quote look complete.

Two Siemens industrial packages can share a fence and still refuse to share a fir-tree. Write the plate, not the neighbour’s nickname.

Frequently asked questions

Are the alloys the same as on the SGT-600?

The family is still nickel superalloy. The exact grade follows the row. Write what the last shop recorded. Do not assume a 600 heat number travels to a 400 blade.

Can we repair these parts on the package?

Limited blending of a small nick, if the workscope allows it. Coating and casting stay on the shop route. A pipeline station is not a foundry.

Does duty change if the package is mechanical drive or generator?

Both exist on this frame. Duty changes hours and starts. It does not change the need for dimensional inspection or for the correct original-equipment number.

If the store has mixed SGT-400 and SGT-600 bins, send the package serial first

Euroturbine will quote that frame only, with the original-equipment numbers that belong on that plate.
